Kanye West, also currently known as ‘Ye, has been the subject of plenty of controversy over his non-stop comments about Jewish people. His unfiltered comments have cost him big time.
His comments have forced several businesses to cut their ties with him. Now, a team will also stop playing his music in arenas and stadiums.
The Texas A&M football team has taken the field in recent years to Kanye West’s “Power” but that will no longer be the case going forward.
“We’ve reviewed that situation for the last couple of weeks … We’re pivoting away from that song,” athletic director Ross Bjork said Thursday, via TexAgs.com.
Now, the team will take the field to the Childish Gambino’s “Bonfire.”
The Aggies may need the change since they are currently on a three-game losing skid and are in danger of not making a bowl game. Head coach Jimbo Fisher has been under fire all season and recently suspended several players of a locker-room incident.
A change of music isn’t the only thing needing change around there.
Texas A&M will host No. 15 Ole Miss this weekend at Kyle Field.
