
Tragic news coming out of Reading, Pennsylvania over the weekend that former NFL cornerback Antonio Dennard was shot and killed outside of a bar. He was pronounced dead at 3:15 a.m. on October 16 by The Berk’s County Coroner’s Office.
Dennard was just 32 years old.
He played his college ball at NAIA Langston University in Oklahoma where he recorded eight interceptions during his four-year tenure. Dennard had brief stints with the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers and the Jacksonville Jaguars, however, he never actually appeared in a regular season game.
Fans were quick to offer up their condolences to Dennard’s family and friends on Twitter:
An autopsy will be performed on Tuesday October 18th to determine the cause of death. Rest In Peace Antonio Dennard, gone way too soon.
