The USFL season has officially come to a close.
The Birmingham Stallions, led by league MVP Alex McGough, earned their second consecutive USFL championship on Saturday night.
After a sporting team wins it all in every sport, it has become customary for the winning team to celebrate by opening, spraying, and drinking champagne.
Led by a stellar game from WR Deon Cain, the Stallions took down the Pittsburgh Maulers 28-12 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
The Birmingham Stallions celebrated their back-to-back USFL Championship with 40-ounce beers.
Here’s how fans reacted to it:
The Maulers fought their way into the championship game after finishing the regular season with a 4-6 record.
Stallions WR Deon Cain was named the USFL championship game MVP after a stellar performance with 171 all-purpose yards and four receptions for 71 yards and three touchdowns.
Cain finished the game with 70 receiving yards and 101 kick return yards. His quarterback, Alex McGough, completed 18 of 25 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 64 yards.
