Earlier this week, it was revealed that the Alliance of American Football was essentially done after they suspended all football related activities.
The National Football League informed teams not to speak with any players from the league since things hadn’t been ironed out yet.
On Thursday, the AAF’s official Twitter account laid everything out on the table and informed all players they are free to sign with any NFL team.
The standard AAF three-year contracts included a provision allowing players to exit for NFL opportunities at the conclusion of an AAF season. The season ended unexpectedly after just eight weeks of play.
