
Chiefs starting right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif announced via his Twitter account on Friday that he’s opting out of the 2020 season.

Less than three months after helping the Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory as their starting right guard, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif put his doctorate in medicine to use by fighting the coronavirus outbreak at a longterm care facility in Quebec.
In 2019, Duvernay-Tardif appeared in 14 games for the Chiefs and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 47 overall guard out of 81 qualifying players.
