Jason Garrett’s career in New York lasted just 26 games.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the offensive coordinator would be fired.

The #Giants relieved OC Jason Garrett of his duties a short time ago. He is the first NFL coach — head coach, coordinator or position coach — fired this season. (Jon Gruden resigned in October.)

Per Ryan Dunleavy, senior offensive assistant Freddie Kitchens is expected to take over as the play-caller.

On Monday Night Football, the team had a terrible offensive performance against the Tampa Bay Bucs as they lost 30-10.

Garrett has been under fire all season for his performance.

The 55-year-old Garrett was hired by the Cowboys as their offensive coordinator and he eventually worked his way up to head coach. Garrett led them to a record of 85-67, which includes three playoff appearances.

The Cowboys allowed Garrett’s contract to expire at the end of the 2019 season as opposed to firing him and he joined the Giants as their offensive coordinator.
