Damon Arnette’s career is now in jeopardy.
On Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders released the cornerback from the team just days after he dropped a video threatening to kill somebody. The video went viral, and once the news started to spread, it was only a matter of time before the team dropped the 2020 first round pick.
Arnette is also facing multiple lawsuits including from a car accident that happened back in 2020 that left a woman injured.
In the span of about a week, Las Vegas has now cut both their first-round picks from last year for off-the-field issues — the other obviously being Henry Ruggs III, who was involved in a fatal accident that took the life of a 23-year-old woman and her dog.
Arnette had been on injured reserve for the Raiders. He’ll now go on waivers.
