Calvin Ridley is on tap to have a breakout season after missing a year because he was suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL’s gambling policy.
During Wednesday’s practice, Ridley showed the Jaguars fan base what he has in store for the upcoming season when he pulled off an insane full-extension catch during 7-on-7 drills.
Ridley stepped away from the field after just five games in 2021, citing mental health reasons. Last offseason, his gambling violations came to light.

In March 2022, Ridley was suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games after stepping away from the Atlanta Falcons, with the minimum length of the suspension being one year.
At the 2022 trade deadline, back in November, the Jacksonville Jaguars traded for the 28-year-old wideout.
What’s even crazier is that the WR actually bet on his Falcons to beat the Jaguars in Week 12. Now the Jaguars are betting on him to be a crucial part of the offense for the 2023 season.
The former No. 26 overall pick out of Alabama has caught 248 passes for 3,342 yards and 28 touchdowns in 49 career games played.
He caught his last NFL pass on Oct. 24, 2021. With Trevor Lawrence throwing him the ball, he’ll be catching many in 2023.
