Alleah Taylor wants to make damn sure that Chad Wheeler doesn’t get off easy after what he allegedly did to her in their apartment this year.
Taylor appeared on “CBS This Morning” and told reporter Jericka Duncan that the injuries she suffered on that fateful day in January will require treatment for the rest of her life.
“I still have to regularly get my concussion checked. I have bolts and a steel plate I’m gonna have forever in my arm. I’m gonna have to deal with this the rest of my life.”
The former Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman blamed what happened on a ‘manic episode’ when he attacked Taylor when she refused to bow to him.
It started with Wheeler texting that he’d just shaved his head.
“He loved, just loved his long hair. Refused to cut it. And it surprised me, and it worried me,” Taylor said in an interview out Wednesday. “I came home. And Chad was trying to play it off as if he just kind of cut his hair. But then, as time went on throughout the day, he started going downhill emotionally.”
“And I asked him why. And he didn’t respond. He just told me to bow down again. And I told him no. And he immediately grabbed my neck. And that’s when things began,” Taylor tearfully recalled.
“I had touched my face. And I looked down, and there was, there’s blood on my hand … I remember getting up and running to the bathroom,” she told CBS. “Chad was standing by the bed, by the doorway. And he was sipping his smoothie and was, like, ‘Wow, you’re, you’re still alive.’”
When asked if she thinks Wheeler’s actions were triggered by a mental health episode, she told CBS, “To be honest, I don’t know.”
She continued, “He went and ate dinner after he did this to me. And he didn’t take the same approach with the cops as he did with me.”

“I want to try to use the time I’ve been blessed with to help other people and to get this story out and to make sure people don’t feel alone and to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”
Wheeler is facing up to 12 years in prison if convicted on domestic violence charges.
