Making critical comments in public about NFL officials will surely result in a fine for every single player or coach in the league. Sometimes, you can’t hold it in and some things need to be said.
Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews experienced that firsthand by receiving a $12,500 fine for a post that he made on Twitter in regards to the debacle that happened at Lambeau Field.
That above tweet earned Matthews the fine mentioned, but nothing he stated was wrong because two blown ‘hands to the face’ calls cost the Detroit Lions big time as it led to 10 Green Bay points that included the game-winning touchdown.
Former Colts punter Pat McAfee called out Riveron on ESPN’s Get Up show by calling him a ‘terrible leader of men’ and stating that the current referees feel like ‘replacement refs’ when watching games.
