Philadelphia Eagles star cornerback Darius Slay is clearly paying attention to what is going on with Kyrie Irving after the Brooklyn Nets star point guard was suspended for five games and then issued an apology for promoting a film that had antisemitic views.
Slay took to social media and brought up the fact that the former NFL quarterback has not even apologized over his connection to a massive welfare fraud scheme in his home state of Mississippi.

The former Green Bay Packers QB insists he didn’t know the millions in grant money he helped secure for a volleyball center at his alma mater or the $1.1 million he was paid directly for a public service announcement campaign came from welfare funds.
Six people have been criminally charged in connection with the scandal but favre has escaped prosecution so far. He is being sued by the state in its attempt to recoup millions of dollars in misspent Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds. He has since repaid the $1.1 million paid directly to him, but the state auditor maintains he owes interest.
“I have been unjustly smeared in the media. I have done nothing wrong, and it is past time to set the record straight.” Favre said in his statement, “No one ever told me, and I did not know, that funds designated for welfare recipients were going to the University or me.
“I tried to help my alma mater (the University of Southern Mississippi), a public Mississippi state university, raise funds for a wellness center. My goal was and always will be to improve the athletic facilities at my university.”
Meanwhile, the Nets want Irving to complete “a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct” before he could return to the team.
Irving issued a statement on Instagram with an apology to the Jewish community, stating in part that he took “full accountability and responsibly for my actions.”
