Here we go again.
Less than two weeks after the new league year began on March 13th, Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid took to Twitter and posted a photo of himself working out and looking jacked. The post was captioned, “In honor of my first “random” drug test of the year. Shoutout to my trainer.”
Since signing with the Carolina Panthers in the middle of the 2018 season, Reid has reportedly been subject to seven drug tests that he claimed at the time were a result of his collusion grievance case against the NFL.
However, the NFL and NFLPA released a joint statement in January denying any impropriety in the numerous tests, saying the selections “were randomly generated via computer algorithm.”
Reid has since signed a three-year contract extension worth over $22 million to remain with the Panthers.
Kaepernick and Reid have also dropped their collusion case and have reportedly received less than $10 million in the settlement.
