Back in May, Telvin Smith announced he was taking the 2019 season off for personal reasons, so the Jacksonville Jaguars placed him on the reserve/retired list back in July.
He’s clearly been up to something, because the 28-year-old was said to be led away in handcuffs as multiple officers descended upon his home.
Via ActionNewsJax:
“A black SUV was loaded onto a flatbed and towed from the home with a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office cruiser following behind it.
Action News Jax reporter Meghan Moriarty saw a crime scene unit van parked outside of Smith’s home. Moriarty also saw a JSO car parked directly in front of the front door and some officers guarding the front door.
Inside a JSO crime scene van, which had its doors open, Moriarty saw brown paper bags.
We are working to learn what the police activity is related to.”
Smith, a linebacker who played at Florida State, was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Jaguars.
