Takkasrist McKinley really wants out of Atlanta.
The defensive end took to Twitter and said that, last year, the team turned down a second-round pick, after McKinley asked to be traded. He then added that, this year, the Falcons turned down a fifth- and sixth-round draft pick “from multiple teams” after he asked to be traded.
The Falcons didn’t pick up his fifth-year option, making him a free agent after the season.
As for McKinley’s head coach Raheem Morris’ response, he had this to say:
“Takk will be held accountable,” Morris said, via NFL Network’s Michael Giardi. “Gotta deal with that as an organization and gotta hit it in the face.
“The wrong way to go about it how Takk is, to pout.”
The Falcons seem content with watching him walk in free agency and receiving a compensatory pick for his departure.
