Damian Parms has had a major fall from grace.
The former NFL player found himself being questioned and arrested for allegedly swiping luggage from a carousel inside an Atlanta airport last week. The former defensive back was charged with theft after he allegedly snatched a phone charger from a bag at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, police said, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
Bodycam footage has since been obtained and it shows Parms talking with authorities in the baggage claim area. He is accused of picking up a piece of luggage and taking the charger from it before leaving the rest of the items in a different carousel of the airport, the report goes on to state.
He then left for a couple of hours, returned to the airport, and that’s when police spotted him in the luggage area.
An officer in the footage asked Parms if he flew that day and he responded no, with the officer then noting, “OK, so you had no business even coming to a carousel.”
During his short time in the league, Parms was signed by the Atlanta Falcons after he went undrafted in 2015 out of Florida Atlantic University. After the Falcons released him in 2015, he was signed by the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers.
He did not record any stats.
In college, Parms played in 43 games for the Owls and posted 186 tackles (104 solo), 11.5 tackles for loss, one sack, three forced fumbles, one interception, and eight passes defensed.
