Bruce Arians does not want his 44-year-old quarterback taking unneccessary hits.
During his postgame news conference after Tampa Bay earned a 33-27 overtime victory against Buffalo, Arians stated his piece on Tom Brady’s rushing attempts.
“That’s enough of that shit.”
On Tuesday, footage was released from that game that showed Brady’s quarterback sneak that resulted in him taking a ton of hits to his body. Arians went over to him and told him that he had seen enough of him taking hits.
During his latest installment of the Let’s Go! podcast with Jim Gray, Brady responded to the pointed criticism from Arians.
“I think that’s the first time I’ve ever heard him swear,” Brady said, laughing. “He’s right. He’s right. I agree with B.A. ‘Get my ass on the ground.’ That’s what I deserve. That’s where I should be. They’re trying to put me on the ground pretty tough, and they took some good shots yesterday. I think my days of running, they’ll be only if necessary at this point going forward.”
Along with recording his 700th career passing touchdown, Brady had 31 completions for 363 yards and two passing scores.
