Mark Sanchez seems like he has been waiting to use this joke for quite some time now.
During the Rams-Falcons game, the former NFL quarterback-turned-broadcaster was describing how Rams OL Coleman Shelton was clearing the way for his running back, Cam Akers, when he had this to say:
“He’s clearing out defenders faster than a teenager clears his search history.”
Sanchez is one of Fox’s up-and-coming commentators. With comments like this one, he could quickly climb the company’s ranks and emerge as a member of their lead commentary tandem.
He appears to be much more comfortable in the press box than he was on an NFL field, as Sanchez had a career completion percentage of just 56.6 while throwing 86 touchdowns and 89 interceptions across 79 career games (over eight seasons) with the Jets, Eagles, Cowboys and Washington.
