Seattle Seahawks fans are not going to like this.
The wide receiver spent four years in Seattle catching passes from Russell Wilson and four and a half years in Detroit with Matthew Stafford as his quarterback. He also had a brief stay in Philadelphia in 2018 before signing a deal with the New York Giants this offseason.
Speaking to Bernie Smilovitz of WDIV, Tate made a bold claim that Stafford, not Wilson, is the best quarterback he’s played with during his 10-year career.
“To me, as of now, where I am today, I think Stafford’s been the best quarterback I’ve played with,” Tate said . “The guy can flat-out play. He’s tough, his attitude is amazing and he just wants to play ball. For me, I have nothing but praises for him.
He also went on to defend his lack of a playoff resume.

That last line is a clear and absolute shot at Russell Wilson.
Tate racked up 2,195 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns with the Seahawks. With Detroit, he experienced three 1,000+ receiving seasons, which comes out to a total of 4,741 yards and 22 touchdowns.
