Jamal Adams was the first big-name player the Jets dealt in 2020, but he was far from being the last one to leave that team.
Now that he is gone, he is reveling in seeing others get to move on from the now 0-6 team.
The Seahawks safety took to Twitter to congratulate his former team captain Steve McLendon after the Jets traded the defensive tackle and a 2023 seventh-round pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for a 2022 sixth-round pick following the team’s sixth consecutive loss Sunday.
Adams also retweeted a tweet that noted McLendon was going to be reunited with former Jets coach Todd Bowles, now the Buccaneers defensive coordinator.
Jets coach Adam Gase said Monday that trading McLendon was “the right thing to do.”
