The Green Bay Packers recently wrapped up their training camp and preseason and now the games are going to start counting for real.
With so much on his shoulders for the 2023 season, there is some uproar online over the media not pointing out that Jordan Love is the first Black full-time starter in a Packers uniform.
“The little attention from the Packers media on Jordan being the first black full-time starter in a Packers uniform is very telling.”
Why this has not been brought up is anyone’s guess, but it is a significant thing for a franchise that is as old as the Green Bay Packers.
In the meantime, the start of the 2023 NFL season is this week as the Green Bay Packers head to Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears in their season opener. Packers fans no longer have Aaron Rodgers, who held a winning record of 24-5 against the Bears. Love did sit behind the former Packers quarterback for three years before becoming the full-time starter this season.
Love can easily win over the fan base by securing this victory in Week One.
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields has yet to beat the Green Bay Packers since he arrived in the NFL. He currently has a 0-4 record after last season in 2022. Both quarterbacks have a lot riding on this matchup.
Both fanbases will have to see what takes place on September 10th at Soldier Field.
