Kenny Pickett and his loved ones are breathing a collective sigh of relief after the former University of Pittsburgh quarterback was looking very down as he continued to slide down in the draft.
Eventually, the Steelers selected the New Jersey native with the 20th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Pickett was the first quarterback selected in this year’s draft.
By his side was his fiancée, Princeton soccer player Amy Paternoster, who could hardly contain her excitement.
On Friday night, she took to her Instagram story and shared a message for the new Steelers quarterback on Instagram.
“Can’t wait to watch you in action!!” she said in the caption of a photoshopped picture that showed Pickett in a Steelers jersey.
The couple appeared to make their relationship Instagram official in early 2021.
Pickett finished his career as Pitt’s all-time leader passer with 12,303 yards, one of the many school records he holds.
