Darren Rovell certainly has a special way of upsetting people on Twitter.
On Monday, the sports business reporter took to Twitter and detailed an insensitive plan for the NFL to return amidst coronavirus concerns.
“This is how it’s done,” Rovell began. “1. Players sign waivers that team isn’t responsible for them contracting Covid-19. 2. All players will sign (They already get CTE with near certainty). 3. Players who test positive stay out for 2 weeks.”
No. 2 on that list stood out the most by saying all NFL players will end up with CTE and it caused former players to blast back at him.
Former quarterback Sage Rosenfels was up first as he went back and forth with Rovell.
Former Bears guard Kyle Long also responded to Rovell, but he did so in a very obscene way.
“Straight up eat sh*t, u cuck,” before adding in a subsequent tweet: “What a classless way of presenting that case. Wow.”
He would soon add how much he used to like Rovell for his business tweets, but things have changed over time.
