The New York Giants once again shocked fans as they defeated Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, 24-20, at MetLife Stadium to improve to 5-1 on the season.
Saquon Barkley finished the game with 83 yards on the ground on 22 carries and caught three passes for 12 yards. Daniel Jones, the Giants’ fourth-year quarterback, had two touchdown passes and 173 yards on 19-for-27.
As far as Lamar Jackson, he threw a wild interception and was strip-sacked on his team’s final two drives, setting up the Giants for the go-ahead touchdown after the pick and the ability to run the clock out after the fumble.
Jackson struggled through the air in general against a tough Giants defense, finishing 17-of-32 for 210 yards, a touchdown and an interception while taking two sacks.
On Twitter, former NFL player Ryan Clark blasted him for wanting a huge contract and playing badly on the field.
“Period!! If Lamar wants $230 Ms guaranteed he can’t do that. He can’t convince them to pay it, his mom can’t convince them to pay it, and I can’t talk them into it! CAN’T FRICKING HAPPEN!”
Jackson saw the tweet hours later and responded with GIF that said: “Playas fuck up.”
The Ravens fell to 3-3 on the season, and have blown fourth-quarter leads in each of those losses.
