A show of good sportsmanship was shown during a high school football game, but Marlon Humphrey had a different reaction to it.
Over the weekend, a player on the field was trying to limp off to the sidelines, so the opposing player decided to put his arm around his shoulder and help him out. So the player’s teammate would join as they carried him over to the coaching staff.
Many folks praised the young man for his sportsmanship.
Marlon Humphrey had other ideas.
The Baltimore Ravens cornerback took to X and stated that the act of sportsmanship was ‘disgusting.’
“This is actually disgusting.”
As much as he jokes on social media, he likely wasn’t serious.
Humphrey is Baltimore’s top cornerback. The three-time Pro Bowler had 71 tackles, three interceptions, and three sacks last season.
Humphrey suffered an injury during Baltimore’s joint practice with Washington back in August and it will cause him to miss several games to start the 2023 season. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero would report at the time Humphrey has a foot injury and is “unlikely” to play against the Bengals in Week 2.
The Ravens are hoping to go deeper in the playoffs this year with a healthy Lamar Jackson who is coming in with a new contract and a new WR in Odell Beckham Jr.
