All offseason, the New England Patriots have been in the news about reported issues with Mac Jones and his downplay from last year and him reaching out for outside help during the season that pissed head coach Bill Belichick off.
On Thursday afternoon, the Patriots were back in the news when they made an addition to the quarterback room.
Former Penn State star quarterback Trace McSorley is on the move as he enters his fifth NFL season after the New England Patriots signed him Thursday, the team announced. The 27-year-old spent parts of the last two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals after he began his career in 2019 with the Baltimore Ravens.
McSorley is unlikely to be a threat to Mac Jones starting job.
