Jersey exchanges between pro athletes have been all the rage the last few years and after the Chiefs’ win over the Niners on Super Bowl Sunday, both starting running backs showed respect with a swap of their game jerseys.
In the clip below, you can see a clearly emotional Mostert after the game get some encouraging words from Damien Williams and then they proceeded to remove their jerseys and give them to each other.
Williams had 133 total yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 31-20 comeback win.
Damien Williams would soon appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and Kimmel reminded Williams that of the two “yours is worth a lot more than the jersey he gave you.”
Williams replied: “That’s funny you say that, because my mom was like, ‘Where’s your jersey at?’”
