The NFL is expected to reveal the 2023 regular season schedule on May 11, but we already have an idea on at least two of the league’s upcoming International Series games.
According to a report from the German Bild newspaper (h/t John Breech of CBS Sports) the two NFL games in Germany for 2023 will see the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots vs. the New Orleans Saints.
Per the report, the two games will be played at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. The games will be played in consecutive weeks, on Nov. 10 and Nov. 19. The AFC clubs, the Chiefs and Patriots, will be the “home” teams.
The report also added that the Chiefs are expected to play a 2024 game against the Carolina Panthers in Munich, though that hasn’t been confirmed.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks met in the first NFL regular season game in Germany last November. The two clubs met at Allianz Arena in Munich, with Tom Brady and company squeaking out a 21-16 victory.
We also know that the Chiefs will host the NFL Kickoff Game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 7, though the opponent has yet to be revealed.
The NFL played five games in the International Series last season: The Minnesota Vikings vs. the New Orleans Saints at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, the New York Giants vs. the Green Bay Packers at the same venue, the Denver Broncos vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars at London’s Wembley Stadium, the Seahawks vs. the Bucs and the San Francisco 49ers vs. the Arizona Cardinals at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS?
