The Philadelphia Eagles lead the league with 35 penalties for 232 penalty yards. They had plenty of penalties last night against the Dallas Cowboys, which did not help them in the blowout loss.
Not helping matters was Derek Barnett who had an unnecessary roughness penalty against the 49ers in Week 2 that head coach Nick Sirianni called “unacceptable” after the ugly loss. In Week 3, he was whistled for an offsides penalty and his head coach could be seen voicing his displeasure.
It’s back to the drawing board for the Eagles as they fell to 1-2.
The Eagles host former coach Andy Reid and the two-time defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs (1-2). Reid, who has more wins than any coach in Eagles history, is 2-0 against Philadelphia.
