The grass at Soldier Field is in rough shape today and the Chiefs and Bears have to play on it this afternoon.
Pictures on social media show the grass with divots and pockmarks. Both teams should probably reconsider playing any starters.
Bears kicker Cairo Santos raised the issue of the grass this week while revealing he would purposely kick at terrible parks to recreate the field at home.
It should also be pointed out that Elton John recently held a concert at Soldier Field.
The Bears are planning to leave Soldier Field and move to the suburbs and that cannot come soon enough. Last fall, the Bears signed a purchase agreement for Arlington Park property.
The mayor may want them to stay, but it is time for the franchise to move on.
