The Dolphins hosted the division rival Patriots on Sunday, but perhaps the biggest fireworks from the game came from the parking lot area.
While the Dolphins were inside the stadium putting a hurting on the Patriots, a blazing fire had started outside of it.
Police shut down local roadways while emergency services tried to handle the fire, according to A.J. Perez of Front Office Sports.
According to a Twitter user, somebody left a grill on by a car and this was the result of that.
Scott Dellorfano was the owner of one of the cars. He said his Mercedes S63 is a total loss. He had $3,000 cash in the car as well.
“They said a grill caught on fire, it set off another car that blew up and it took our 5 or 6 cars. That’s what the police told me. I got insurance, you call stadium legal people, and then go from there,” Dellorfano said.
