The National Football League dropped the hammer on Vontaze Burfict as they likely should have years ago when it was announced that the Oakland Raiders linebacker won’t be participating in anymore games this season.
On Sunday, the often controversial linebacker delivered a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit on Colts TE Jack Doyle that quickly led to his ejection from the game.
Following the announcement of his suspension, his agent announced that they will be appealing.
The 29-year-old signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Raiders during the offseason.
