The Los Angeles Rams are just months removed from winning the Super Bowl, but not even that is enough to build a strong fan base in the area that likes coming to the game on a regular basis. Not helping matters is the team being so bad on the field in 2022, and things are looking real bad for an upcoming game on Christmas.
With the team having a game coming up on Christmas day against the Denver Broncos, it presents a huge problem since both teams are really bad and have shown to not be much of a draw in person and on TV.
According to the Sports Business Journal, the Rams fear low interest from their season ticket holders and a weak secondary market for the holiday game against the Denver Broncos.
From SBJ:
“All season-ticket holders who donate their tickets in this program will get a chance to win prizes from Rams sponsors including New Era, Diageo, Hilton, Meat District, Ikon and La Brea Bakery. Eligible charities include Boys & Girls Club of Metro LA, Brotherhood Crusade, A Place Called Home, Heart of Los Angeles, Operation Progress and Anti-Recidivism Coalition.”
“The Rams are trying to get ahead of a brewing Christmas Day no-show problem and steer unused season tickets to charities,” Fischer wrote.

The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams both came into this season with high expectations, with the Broncos trading for QB Russell Wilson and the Rams trying to defend their Super Bowl victory.
The Broncos are 3-8, in dead last in the AFC West, and Russell Wilson is looking so washed up that this may go down as one of the worst trades in NFL history. The Rams are also 3-8 and in dead last in the NFC West. They’ve had their own injuries, but it had close to no effect as to why the team has been terrible this year.
The overall matchup just stinks on paper as that game is against the equally inept Denver Broncos, the worst offensive team in the league and another team at the bottom of the standings.
Despite the records, the Broncos fan base may just take over SoFi Stadium, because that is what opposing team fan bases do when the Chargers and Rams play home games at SoFi Stadium.
