Malik McDowell has been arrested in Florida.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Cleveland Browns defensive tackle was arrested for public exposure and beating a deputy. Per the police report obtained by the Sun-Sentinel, it was allegedly a “violent attack” that left the deputy “dazed.”
The police report indicates that the incident began after a call was received that a man was walking naked near a school. McDowell has been accused of exposing himself in public, resisting arrest with violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer.
An ATV accident and a string of off-field incidents led to his release from Seattle.
“Everybody don’t get a second chance,” McDowell said, via Marla Ridnour of the Akron Beacon-Journal. “That was just meaningful that the NFL and anybody is willing to give me, of all people, another chance. That’s just a blessing right there.”
Now, he’ll be hoping for a third chance if the Browns don’t release him.
