While the Dallas Cowboys continue to try and sign QB Dak Prescott to a long-term deal this offseason, they are not neglecting the other parts of the team that need to be improved.
The team is reportedly eyeing major trades to upgrade their WR corps by adding wide receivers Christian Kirk or Marquise Goodwin, according to Sports Illustrated’s Mike Fisher.
“…we asked a source inside The Star about Dallas’ willingness to solve its slot-receiver vacancy by making a trade for “a player like Kirk.”
And the answer is a general “yes.”
That’s right. As it relates to Kirk, or Marquise Goodwin, or any other affordable slot receiver on the block, the answer is a general “yes.”
Kirk, who was a 2nd-round pick in 2018, totaled 68 catches for 709 yards and three touchdowns during the 2019 season.
The 29-year-old Marquise Goodwin has dealt with injuries in his past two seasons, but the 49ers have been open to dealing Goodwin this offseason. He had just 12 catches for 186 yards and one touchdown last season.
