There have been several rumors regarding the Washington Redskins likely looking for another quarterback, even after they selected Dwayne Haskins during the 2019 draft.
Haskins wasn’t happened not playing last year, and when he finally got his chance, he didn’t perform to expectations and that reportedly extended to off-the-field issues.
Doug Gottlieb of Fox Sports a few days ago that Haskins had so much trouble reading the Redskins’ playbook that coaches thought he was dyslexic.
On top of that, there was anther report from South Florida Sun Sentinel that new head coach Ron Rivera actually told Tua Tagovailoa that he wanted him to compete for a job with Haskins.
“New coach Ron Rivera told Tagovailoa he wants to bring him to Washington to compete with second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins during their meeting at the NFL combine, a source told the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
“They felt like Dwayne was not the guy right now,” the source said. “They want to bring in Tua, just get it going and compete.”
If that is actually true, it shows just how far Haskins has fallen out of favor in just a year’s time.
