This is not a good look.
After being signed by the Carolina Panthers at the end of September and it didn’t take long for controversy to kick off as Reid began to speak about the many drug tests he had received so far during his short time in Carolina.
On Wednesday, the NFL and NFL Players Association determined there was no evidence that Carolina Panthers safety was targeted in the performance-enhancing drug testing program.
Reid said after a Dec. 17 loss to the New Orleans Saints that he had been selected for testing for the seventh time. He implied many times over the course of the year that these tests were not random and that he was being targeted because of his collusion grievance against the NFL.
Aside from finding no evidence of being targeted, a joint investigation found that Reid’s claims about the number of times he had been tested since signing with the Panthers were not accurate, sources told ESPN.
If this is indeed true, this is not a good look for Reid and hopefully he has the receipts to back up his claims of being tested all seven times that he claimed.
