Mayfield threw for a season-high 334 yards with all four of his touchdown passes in the first half, and the Browns scored the first 17 points before holding on to win their fourth in a row 41-35 over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Last week on First Take, ESPN figurehead Stephen A. Smith ripped the No. 1 pick for “having more commercials than NFL wins.”
“This aged well,” Emily Wilkinson Mayfield tweeted out in response to his big game.
On Monday morning, Stephen A. responded to the reply, saying he respected her support for he husband.
“I loved her tweet,” Smith said on First Take. “I love to see a woman who loves her man so dearly, she wants to stand by him and support him… . That’s why she’s Mrs. Mayfield.”
The Browns are second in the AFC North behind the unbeaten Pittsburgh Steelers — as they improved to 9-3 for the first time since 1994.
