Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two decades, you obviously know the name Tom Brady. You probably also know him as a seven-time Super Bowl champion who is married to world-famous supermodel Gisele Bundchen. But did you also know that Tom Brady has kids? Three, to be exact, with two different women.
That’s what we’re here to focus on as we take a look at the lives of former New England Patriots and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady’s children.
Overview of Tom Brady’s Kids
Despite Tom Brady’s undeniable prowess on the football field, his beautiful family takes the number one spot in his heart. He spends as much time at home with them as he can manage with his rigorous football schedule, doing normal family activities like getting ice cream, with his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen and his three kids.
John Edward Thomas Moynahan
Their family is not the most conventional, since Brady had his first son, Jack, with ex Bridget Moynahan. However, they are still a tight-knit, loving family nonetheless.
Jack and His Relationship with Gisele
As mentioned before, Brady’s wife Gisele Bündchen is actually stepmother to eldest child Jack, who is thirteen years old, born in August 2007. He was born after Brady had started dating Bündchen in early 2007.
Though her official title is stepmother, she prefers that Jack call her his “bonus mom,” revealing Jack and Bündchen’s close family bond in spite of their unique family structure. Bündchen said, “I don’t like the word ‘stepmom.’ I like the word ‘bonus mom’ because I feel like it’s a blessing in my life. Also, I feel so lucky that I got to have an extra wonderful little angel in my life.”

Brady and Moynahan’s Coparenting
While his real name is John Edward Thomas Moynahan, he simply goes by Jack. Despite their split, Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan are amicable and co parent Jack very well together. Brady even wishes Moynahan a happy birthday and happy Mother’s Day regularly on his Instagram account, which serves as a testament to their good relationship.
Jack does not spend all of his time with his dad, since Brady and Moynahan share joint-custody. However, Brady still ensures that they spend quality time together.
Brady and Jack’s Relationship
They share a love of traveling together, and Brady takes Jack on some really cool trips, including South America and China. Brady lovingly refers to Jack as his “good luck charm in life.”
Jack’s Interests
Brady is Jack’s biggest role model, and Jack takes after his father, wanting to pursue his own career in professional football, (or soccer or swimming), after being deeply involved with sports so much throughout his life.
Benjamin Brady
After marrying in 2009, Tom Brady and Gisele had their first child together, son Benjamin Brady. He was born in Boston in December of 2009 and is eleven years old now.
Interestingly, he was actually not born in a hospital. Instead, he was born in the bathtub in Brady and Bündchen’s house.
Benjamin and His Relationship with Mom
Being from Brazil, Bündchen speaks her native language, Portuguese, to Benjamin. While he understands, he does not usually speak Portuguese himself.
Benjamin’s Hobbies and Interests
He has warmed up to sports over the years, enjoying football, skiing, cycling, hockey, swimming, golfing and other activities, but he was not always like that. When he was younger, he was not interested at all in sports, much to the surprise of his father.
Even though he has a major celebrity for a father, he still gets starstruck from time to time. According to Tom Brady, Benjamin’s favorite celebrity is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Benjamin, along with Jack, are both homeschooled, which probably saves them from dealing with some starstruck classmates. Outside of sports and school, Benjamin enjoys cartoons and eating pizza. Pizza is a special treat, since it does not adhere to the family’s strict no-junk-food diet.
Benjamin and His Feelings on the Super Bowl
While all three of Tom Brady’s kids are expected to attend the Super Bowl when their dad is playing, Benjamin is less interested in the game than his half-brother, Jack is. Instead, his favorite part of the superbowl is all of the junk food that he gets to eat.
Vivian Brady
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady’s second child together, daughter Vivian Lake Brady, stole Brady’s heart. She was born in Boston in December of 2012 during another home birth, with her birthday being only three days before Benjamin’s.
Vivian and Her Dad
She is their first daughter, and as his first and only girl, Brady says that he has a soft spot for Vivan and spoils her, though he loves all of his children equally. Brady admits, “I let my daughter do basically anything she wants, which is a little bit of a problem in the house… the boys I’m definitely tougher on… she knows exactly what to say to get her dad to do exactly what she wants.”
Don’t Expect a Career in Sports from Vivian
While Jack looks just like his father, Vivian takes more after her mother. At the age of eight, she has not yet taken much of an interest in sports, even though she must have a genetic predisposition for them. Though she does not love football, she loves to cheer her dad on during the superbowl and is always extremely proud of him.
Vivian’s Hobbies and Interests
She loves the beach, baking, yoga with her mom and playing outside with her brother and half-brother. She also has taken in interest in fashion and modeling, much like her mother. Tom Brady posts her regularly on his Instagram account, so there is plenty of adorable documentation of her doing all of those activities there.
Tom Brady’s Kids Mean The World To Him
While they may not have the average family structure, all three of Tom Brady’s kids are surrounded by love and support from parents and stepparents alike. Brady’s job as football quarterback may be important and demanding, but he always prioritizes his job as a father.
He makes sure to be present and involved in their lives in spite of his job and encourages them to come visit him at work, (even if his work is events like the superbowl). Overall, the kids are lucky to have such a supportive father; the fame is just a bonus!
