An unidentified NFL player is currently suing United Airlines and is alleging he was sexually assaulted and harassed by a woman on a recent flight, according to Bleacher Report’s Master Tesfatsion.
The lawsuit also claims United Airlines did not respond adequately during the flight and did not cooperate with authorities.
The report says that the player does not want his identity revealed, filing the complaint as John Doe 1. They allege four complaints were made against a female passenger sitting in the same row for “unwanted sexual advances” before flight attendants moved her.
The player claims the female was intoxicated and taking prescription pills at the time of the incident.
The goal of the lawsuit is to “shine a light on how assaults can, and are, being made on men, and not just women.”
The NFL player is seeking “compensatory and punitive damages” alongside “John Doe 2” in the lawsuit.
