XFL head coach Terrell Buckley has gone viral after watching his team, the Orlando Guardians, go 0-2 after two weeks of action.
The Guardians opened their campaign with a 33-12 loss to the Houston Roughnecks last weekend. And, having played out their second game of the young season on Sunday, they’ve posted another loss in which they only scored 12 points, losing 30-12.
Buckley, who played 14 years in the NFL and won a Super Bowl with the Patriots in 2002, was clearly angry after the loss and laid into his players.
Speaking in a postgame interview on the sidelines, the former pro cornerback basically asked for a whole new team.
“We gotta get different guys in there, obviously. I got guys out there that are not competing, that are not making plays,” he remarked. “So we got to get people in there, young men that want to play, that want to compete and make plays. I’m seeing guys not performing… look at the scoreboard! They gotta perform.”
The interview garnered lots of reactions from fans, with some of them offering their services.
Will Buckley’s comments light a fire under his players or has he just made things worse?
We should get an answer by the end of the Guardians’ Week 3 outing against the 1-1 Arlington Renegades on Sunday.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
