This was a hard week for Green Bay Packers, not just because Randall Cobb was headed to another team, but also because he was headed to play for the hated Dallas Cowboys.
The fan base weren’t the only ones who were sad about his departure. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would soon take to Instagram and post a heartfelt message about the Green Bay Packers losing long-time receiver Randall Cobb to the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday.
“I guess I just miss my friend” is how he ended his post.
Rodgers and Cobb played eight seasons together and developed a strong relationship that extended pass their job on the field.
When targeting Cobb — Rodgers completed 69.4 percent of his passes, threw 39 touchdown passes and had a passer rating of 110.4. Cobb has a total of 470 receptions in his entire career, with 430 of them coming straight from Rodgers.
He exits the Packers ranked sixth in the team’s history in catches.
Cobb will now catch his passes from Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.
