Social Media Reacts To Tweet Saying JJ Watt Recently Purchased Tristan Thompson’s Home In Cleveland (TWEETS)
The Cleveland Browns won a playoff game this past season for the first time since 1994 and now they are hoping to take the next step by going further into the playoffs. That would include upgrading their defense and a guy like J.J. Watt could hold the key next season.
Watt requested his release from the Houston Texans in early February, which was granted. According to Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, the Browns remain in the mix to sign Watt this offseason.
One tweet on social media had Browns fans going nuts when it showed that Watt reportedly purchased the home of Tristan Thompson in the area.
Here’s how fans reacted:
Unfortunately, it all turned out to be lies as others decided to check into it:
The 31-year-old defensive lineman wants to compete for a Super Bowl and the Browns look primed and ready to do just that. Watt is reportedly a fan of Baker Mayfield, believing he is the caliber of quarterback who can help Watt hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
Sources told ESPN’s Dianna Russini that “the most lucrative offer Watt currently has on the table is believed to be worth between $15 million and $16 million per year.”
Watt totaled five sacks and 36 solo tackles during the 2020 season.
