LeBron James joined Peyton and Eli Manning for their Monday Night Football broadcast, and they naturally talked about his upbringing where he played football in high school. The Los Angeles Lakers star was a football star at St. Vincent-St. Mary, but he rightfully took his talents to basketball and became one of the best NBA players to ever grace the hardwood.
They talked about James getting offers to play for Dallas and Seattle during the 2011 NBA lockout and found some old high school tape of LeBron. In the midst of watching the footage, Eli and Peyton couldn’t help but notice that LeBron didn’t exactly have a gunslinger back there throwing him the ball and roasted the poor guy on national television.
“If I would’ve had a better quarterback in high school, I might’ve continued to play football. I took way too many hits.”
At halftime, Peyton and Eli got an earful from their dad, Archie, who thought the roast of that poor young man was too much.
The poor guy got roasted so bad, that he reportedly wants to speak out about getting roasted in front of millions of people.
It’s best that this guy does not put a face to the roast session. At least now, nobody truly knows his name or face.
