Sunday was a dream day for Zach Wilson, Jets fans, and the Wilson family. Zach Wilson finally displayed the playmaking ability that prompted the New York Jets to select him with the second pick in the NFL draft.
In the 4th quarter alone, Wilson tossed two touchdown passes to lift the Jets to a 27-24 overtime win over the Tennessee Titans. He finally got a chance to show off his arm as he unleashed on 54- and 53-yard completions on throws outside the pocket.
Enjoying every moment of the action was his family that included his mom, Lisa Wilson. Here’s how she reacted on her Instagram story:
Along with his great day came a bit of luck as Titans kicker Randy Bullock missed a 49-yard field goal with 15 seconds left in overtime that would have tied the game.
The miss gave Robert Saleh his first win as the Jets coach as well as the rookie QB.
Wilson finished 21 of 34 for 297 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
