Los Angeles Lakers center Moe Wagner is trying to clear his name after social media came at his neck after it appeared he liked a tweet that was favorable to George Zimmerman to depicted Trayvon Martin as a violent thug.
After the backlash got too much on Twitter, Moe Wagner eventually logged on and issued an apology over the ‘liked’ tweet.
Several NBA players were extremely active around that time in protesting since Martin’s death, with fellow Lakers teammate LeBron James admitting the killing “hit a switch” for him to use his voice for political purposes.
Lakers fans likely won’t have to worry about Wagner’s presence too much longer as his contract is being shopped right now after the trade for Anthony Davis.
