REPORT: Warriors Owner Plans To Retire Kevin Durant’s Number

This is rather odd.

Kevin Durant did enough in just three years time in the Bay Area to warrant no other player to ever wear his jersey number again.

On Monday, Warriors owner Joe Lacob dropped the news fo the team retiring the No. 35 going forward.

In three years, the Warriors went to the NBA Finals three times, winning two of them, with Durant winning NBA Finals MVP twice.

He only played half a game during the 2019 NBA Finals because of injury.
