The football world has been waiting for some good news on Damar Hamlin’s condition and we finally got it after the uncle of the Bills safety spoke to the media about his nephew’s current status.
Hamlin’s uncle, Dorrian Glenn, spoke to the NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe just moments ago, telling him that Damar’s breathing has improved and he’s now using the ventilator at just 50%, as opposed to relying on it for 100% of his breathing—as was the case at the beginning.
Hamlin’s uncle said he’ll feel a lot better when his nephew is off the ventilator, saying that the main goal right now is for Damar to be able to breathe on his own and heal his lungs.
While Hamlin is not out of the woods yet, this is certainly some very good news, as it shows that he’s headed in the right direction.
After not hearing much since late last night, this will certainly ease some of the tension. But we should all continue to keep this young man in our thoughts and prayers, as he battles for his life after suffering cardiac arrest on the field during a Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS?
