You’ve heard it many times before, but we’ll say it once more: There is no better recruiting tool in the world right now than Mr. Tom Brady. Wherever Tommy is, other players want to be, because they know that he can lead them to the promised land.
There is no better leader in sports right now. Greatness follows this man. Just look at what happened after he decided to pull a 180 on his retirement and come back for a 23rd season. First, it was Ryan Jensen who decided to follow Brady back to Tampa, after getting a phone call from the GOAT himself about his decision.
Then, Leonard Fournette went and scrubbed that “Farewell to Tampa” post from his Instagram page, deciding that maybe he’ll stick around for another season after all — he still remains a free agent.
And now, it look like another member of the cavalry is back.
Based on some amateur footage from a barber shop in Tampa, it looks like Rob Gronkowski intends to come back and play for the Buccaneers. He’s just holding out for a bit to make Brady a little worried.
Some other teams like the Bengals and Bills had been floating around as possible destinations for Gronk, if he chose not to retire. But that was before Tom Brady announced his comeback.
Now that Brady’s back for sure, it was assumed that Gronk would follow his boy. And it seems like we just got our confirmation.
