Jets’ Super Bowl Odds Skyrocketed After Aaron Rodgers Announced His Decision To Join Team

The New York Jets could soon be Super Bowl contenders as the kid who grew up in California will now be headed to the Big Apple.

The longtime Packers quarterback said Wednesday that his “intention” is to play for the Jets in 2023, which means he is simply waiting on Green Bay to trade him.

Even without an official trade on the books, the news immediately prompted oddsmakers to give the Jets a boost in their odds to win the Super Bowl.

Fan Duel has the Jets +750 to win the Super Bowl. The Chiefs, Bills, and Bengals are the only teams ahead of them.

Once traded, Rodgers will be in charge of carrying the Jets to their first Super Bowl since 1968.

The first indication of a potential Rodgers marriage with the Jets came in January when they hired former Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett for the same role in New York. However, the Broncos tried something similar last offseason, but Rodgers did not bite.
