Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has hinted at which teams he’s interested in joining.
The 29-year-old wideout remains a free agent as he awaits clearance for a return to action. Beckham tore his ACL in Super Bowl 56 eight months ago, with his Los Angeles Rams defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.
Beckham engaged in a Twitter conversation with former NFL defensive end and current ESPN analyst Marcus Spears. Beckham asked Spears to list off five teams for him, and he seemed to like every suggestion.
Beckham’s ex-Rams teammate and current Buffalo Bills star Von Miller recently revealed that the standout receiver has visits lined up with the Giants, the New Orleans Saints and even Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After five seasons with the Giants, Beckham was unexpectedly traded to the Cleveland Browns in a 2019 blockbuster. His three-year tenure there was marred by injuries and inconsistent production playing alongside Baker Mayfield.
The Browns released Beckham in the midst of the 2021 season, and he was picked up by the all-in Rams. After putting up zero touchdowns in his final year with the Browns, Beckham regained his star-like form and put up five TDs for the Rams in the regular season.
Beckham was even better in the postseason, recording 21 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Beckham caught two passes for 52 yards and one touchdown in the Rams’ Super Bowl victory.
We’ll just have to wait and see which team Beckham settles on, but there promises to be no shortage of interested teams. As the Rams learned last year, a player of his caliber can be final piece in a championship puzzle.
